Media Credentialing Opens for 2016 Presidential Candidates Forum

Candidates invited to discuss their vision for tackling America’s pressing economic, domestic and foreign policy issues.

Washington, D.C. (December 10, 2015)—The Atlantic and National Journal, with sponsorship from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), will convene a 2016 presidential candidates forum, “Building Opportunity: Solutions for the American Dream,” on Wednesday, January 20 in Las Vegas. Media registration is now open for the event, which comes just one week after the State of the Union and leads into the Iowa caucuses.

Held during Design and Construction Week, a gathering of over 100,000 design and construction professionals, the Forum will provide all presidential candidates the opportunity to address the most pressing economic and domestic policy issues before the largest annual meeting of the housing industry in the country. Participating candidates will each be interviewed individually for 20 minutes by the forum’s moderators, and will also have time to respond to questions from the audience. “Building Opportunity” will be moderated by Atlantic Media Editorial Director Ronald Brownstein and Jon Ralston, host of Vegas PBS’s “Ralston Live.”

The candidates forum will take place in the Westgate Hotel, Paradise Event Center, in Las Vegas. “Building Opportunity” is convened in partnership with Vegas PBS, which will broadcast the forum live. Details on confirmed candidates and a full agenda will be released in the coming weeks.
