Anna Bross Named Senior Director of Communications for The Atlantic
Washington, D.C.; February 5, 2014 – M. Scott Havens, President of The Atlantic announced today that Anna Bross has been named Senior Director of Communications for the brand. In this role, Bross will oversee all media and public relations for The Atlantic, which include the magazine, its three websites - TheAtlantic.com, The Wire, and The Atlantic Cities - and the brand’s live events division, AtlanticLIVE. Bross, who is currently Director of Media Relations for NPR, will be based in The Atlantic’s Washington, DC headquarters and will report to Emily Lenzner, Atlantic Media Vice President of Global Communications. Her first day is February 20.

In her seven years with NPR, Bross rose quickly, becoming the lead director of all media relations for the network, its programs and digital and music properties. During this period, she led the roll-out strategy and execution for the launches of NPR Music and its apps, as well as the responsive redesign of NPR’s website in 2013. Prior to joining NPR, she was a senior publicist at WHYY in Philadelphia.
