The Atlantic's Digital Platforms Post a Record-Setting Month in April

Washington, D.C., and New York, N.Y.--Readers visited Atlantic Web sites in record numbers in April, driving traffic to and to all-time highs, 16.1 million and 8.5 million unique visitors, respectively., meanwhile, posted a strong second-best-ever performance with 1.1 million uniques. The benchmarks came in a month when major news events--from the Boston Marathon bombings to the Texas fertilizer explosion to North Korea's missile threat--sent readers to trusted sites for news and analysis.

In April, traffic to The Atlantic's digital platforms was up significantly compared to a year ago: +77 percent at, +319 percent at, and +50 percent at Additionally, monthly active users on The Atlantic's iOS app increased 57% percent compared to a year ago, also reaching a new high.
