A Delicious Recipe for Plum-Filled Dumplings

Knedle is a Croatian dessert made from potatoes and plums. In this short film, Iva Radivojevic visits her grandmother in Cyprus and uncovers the recipe for this dish, along with her family’s tumultuous history during the Yugoslav wars. This is the third in a series of short films from Grandmas Project, a collaborative web series under the patronage of UNESCO that shares the stories and recipes of grandmas around the world, filmed by their grandchildren. The first one is about eggnog from France and the second is about stuffed grape leaves from Lebanon. If you are interested in contributing your own film to the series, you can apply here.
