It’s no secret that millennials love Bernie Sanders. Recent polls show that Sanders, the oldest candidate in the election, takes a 16 percent lead over Hillary Clinton among young people. “This is the group that said ‘I’m going to college to get a great paying job,’” says Atlantic senior editor Derek Thompson. “A lot of them haven’t been able to find a job—and if they have, maybe it’s been at a really low wage.”

The Atlantic’s Caty Green sits down with Thompson to find out how millennial voters will shape the 2016 election, and what will happen if Bernie wins the race.
