Paris or New York?

Bagel or baguette? That was one of the questions Vahram Muratyan put forward in his blog-turned-book, Paris versus New York. Muratyan is a Parisian graphic designer whose delightfully simple images of New York and Paris culture—cupcakes and macarons, Carrie Bradshaw and Amélie—pit these metropolises against each other.

The members of Nord Collective, a design firm in New York, were self-admitted "huge fans" of the book and created an animated version. They used Vahram's ideas as a base, reworked the design, and set the images in motion.
