In this documentary, a French woman named Léa Bassy describes how a life-long passion for surfing led her to the beaches of Norway. For seven years, she lived in a van; she owns few things and says she's content to have "the minimum." Filmmaker Sarah Menzies, who produced this short for Patagonia, follows along as Bassy prepares to paddle out in a thick wetsuit, complete with gloves, boots, and a cinched hood. (It is the Arctic, after all.) "It's like being in a fairy tale," Bassy says. "It's not just another place. It's a special place."
