Is Minneapolis the Best City in America?

PBS NewsHour anchor Judy Woodruff interviews Derek Thompson about "The Miracle of Minneapolis," a story published in the March issue of the Atlantic. No other metropolitan area mixes affordability, opportunity, and wealth as well as the Twin Cities do. "We've had this talented workforce that tends to stay here, rather than pick up and move across the country," says Myles Shaver, a University of Minnesota professor. It's not all roses, though. Racial disparities and segregation prevent the region from being prosperous for all residents, as Jessica Nickrand wrote in a response to Thompson's piece.
