“The sun is warm, the air spicy, the snow conditions perfect; it bids fair to be a memorable day skiing,” says the narrator of Skiing in the Swiss Mountains.
Back before the snowboard was even invented (see: the original Snurfer in 1965), “five ski experts” took a film crew along on a day's adventure through the Swiss Alps. Filmed just three years after Warren Miller produced his first movie, this film doesn’t quite have the slick tricks of today's extreme ski movies, but the beautiful vistas and powder-carving turns are more than enough to leave you pining for a day on the mountain.
