This adorable, heartbreaking animated short from TED Ed tells the story of a 150 million-year-old species, the sea turtle. They've been through a lot -- they evolved side by side with the dinosaurs -- but the odds a single turtle today will survive long enough to reproduce are low, and getting lower. Created by educator Scott Gass and animation by Veronica Wallenberg and Johan Sonestedt, the video takes the viewer through the turtles' life cycle and does the grim math behind their decreasing numbers.
