Ingenuity in Action, a 1959 documentary from Hot Rod Magazine, follows a team of hot rod enthusiasts across the country to compete in the national championship in Detroit. This excerpt covers the final race, but the 30-minute documentary is full of great footage of the highways, cars, and landscapes of the era. The film available in its entirety courtesy of the Prelinger Archive, in part one and part two
