Alan Taylor's 20-part World War II restrospective is a sweeping look back at the war that defined a century. This week he shares photographs from the home front, so here at the Video channel we've selected a few highlights from the Internet Archive's vast collection of films from this era.

This film from the U.S. Office of War Information is a portrait of small town America during the war at a time when rural families and workers were flooding in to take advantage of new jobs. The film promotes an idealized vision of how these new communities should come together.
