The Explosion on the Sun That Could Rock Earth This Week

NASA reports that a recent solar flare sent a huge mass of charged particles hurtling towards the Earth. Skywatchers are now awaiting the geogmagnetic storm that the coronal mass ejection is likely to deliver. As the particles hit the Earth's magnetic field, they spawn auroras and can even disrupt the electrical and communications grids.
