The top-selling item, $10 for a $20 gift card to be used on any purchase (or purchases) on Amazon.com, generated more than $11,000,000 in sales in one day when more than 1.1 million people all over the country signed up.
For comparison, the most successful Groupon deal brought in $15.6 million and was 2.6 percent of Groupon's 2010 cumulative revenue. It was a voucher for $50 worth of shoes and clothing at Nordstrom Rack for $25.
