A group of futurists, spreading the word through Twitter, have developed an ever-evolving Google Document that contains dozens of mostly humorous, generally radical future scenarios.
Titled "Alternatives to the Singularity," a reference to the oft-cited vision of a future in which greater-than-human intelligence has changed everything, the document is "a collaborative presentation for/by grumpy futurists." Anyone can edit it as long as they drop a Twitter handle in as a credit. It began August 3 and was up to over 50 slides when I encountered it this afternoon.
