If Facebook stats are any indication -- and I think that they are -- 2010 was not a good year for love. While more than 28 million people changed their relationship status on the social networking site to "in a relationship," 43 million changed it to "single." Those are just some of the numbers released this morning by Democracy UK, a political campaigning initiative run by Facebook. The others show an incredible amount of activity taking place on Facebook. The stats below represent every 20 minutes on the site:

Status updates: 1,851,000
Friend requests accepted: 1,972,000
Photos uploaded: 2,716,000
Comments: 10,208,000
Message: 4,632,000
