As I sit here in Dulles Airport, happily surfing the Internet through my tethered iPhone while I wait for my flight, I keep thinking to myself, "Tethering is the best tech action I took in 2010."

Tethering changed the way I think about work, tech, and mobility even more than having the smartphone in the first place. And I keep kicking myself for not starting to tether earlier.

With that in mind, what tech action you took this year changed your life the most? I'm looking for answers ranging from buying something new to quitting Facebook to finding a new shortcut for a Photoshop technique to getting GPS for your car to buying Hulu Plus.

The only requirement is that whatever tech action you took changed your life for the better.
