For our annual gift guide, asked contributors and assorted luminaries to tell us what's high on their holiday wish list -- and what charity they'd like their friends to support.

What's on their wish lists?

Ezekiel Emanuel, vice provost and chairman of the Center for Bioethics and the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania
On his list: A mezuzah

I have just bought a new house in my new city, Philadelphia, and I'd like a round Yemenite mezuzah for the new house. I love that detailed silver filigree work, even though in almost all other respects I prefer much simpler artwork.

Share this gift idea:

Emanuel's holiday charity: Mazon, a Jewish charity that distributes food to the hungry.
