For our annual gift guide, asked contributors and assorted luminaries to tell us what's high on their holiday wish list -- and what charity they'd like their friends to support.

What's on their wish lists?

Jack Abramoff, former lobbyist and author
On his list: A Slurpee machine

I still remember the first time I had a Slurpee, when I was a teenager, and I've always wanted to buy my own machine--but my more practical wife put the kibosh on it. She didn't want the kids needing new teeth before high school. With our own Slurpee machine, I would forever be imbibing diet cherry, though I might soon come to resemble the vampire some people assume me to be!
