After in-class study on credit, interest rates, and budgeting, some 9,000 eighth graders in Prince George's County get to visit the Junior Achievement Finance Park, a 13,500-square-foot center where students have fun living out adult financial situations, including buying cars and homes, providing child care, purchasing tickets for sporting events, and dining at restaurants.
There are 18 finance parks throughout the United States. This location, which opened in October, is the second in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
