Las Vegas is a city known as much for showcasing superstars as it is for giving a platform to has-beens. So, basically, it’s the perfect location for a 2016 primary debate.

That the first contest for the Democratic presidential nomination is set to kick off in Sin City Tuesday night got us thinking: Are there any parallels to be drawn between the public musings of the five candidates prepping for the debate and those of famous (or infamous) Vegas performers? Can Celine Dion’s lyrics deliver a more motivational message than Hillary Clinton’s "18 million cracks" speech?
