Your Dennis Kucinich Fox News Preview
Yes, we know what you're thinking: Kucinich is a notoriously outspoken Democrat, so what on Earth is he going to do on Fox News that Roger Ailes has hired him as a contributor? Well, the Internet may be stumped, but the Internet has also spoken.
In a brilliant, Internet-stumping move, Roger Ailes has announced that he's hired recently retired Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich to be the newest Fox contributor. Yes, we know what you're thinking: Kucinich is a notoriously outspoken Democrat, so what on Earth is he going to do on Fox News? Well, the Internet may be stumped, but the Internet has also spoken.
The Nation's Ben Adler has one pretty convincing explanation:
OF COURSE @foxnews wants Dennis Kucinich as contributor: he embodies the false stereotype they hold of liberals. mediabistro.com/tvnewser/fox-n…

Kucinich's official debut will be tomorrow on The O'Reilly Factor, and everyone's already diving through YouTube to pick out their favorite stories of Kucinich's as a preview of what's to come.
Conservative handmaiden Michelle Malkin decided to highlight this kooky video:
Meanwhile. Slate's Dave Weigel wonders if a pro-life Kucinich will make a comeback:
So does the Fox News Kucinich turn back into Pro-Life Kucinich (c. 1996-2003)?

None of this is to say that everyone's pleased. Some see the move as Kucinich selling out, and won't be tuning in — though you have to wonder if some of the disappointed, like Salon's Joan Walsh, were ever tuning in to begin with. For what it's worth, Kucinich himself said he won't be a silly token liberal pawn in Ailes's game: "I'm way past that in my life and career," Kucinich told Buzzfeed. "That's almost silly."
