Associated Press photographer Evan Vucci got exclusive access to Mitt Romney behind the scenes on the campaign trail Wednesday, and though he might have tried to make Romney seem interesting, the candidate did not cooperate. The AP's series of exclusive photos show Romney in a plain white windowpane check shirt, with a plain blue tie, reading an iPad alone in a plain hotel conference room. Even the tablecloth is plain and white.

Those photos were taken before a fundraiser in Little Rock. Romney wasn't much more exciting in action shots. The same day he stayed hydrated with plain old water in Bettendorf, Iowa.
