John Sununu backpedaled from his attack on Barack Obama as not American enough Tuesday, apologizing for insulting the president: "I made a mistake. I shouldn't have used those words, and I apologize for using those words." Unfortunately, there's not yet video to embed from the former governor of New Hampshire's interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, but USA Today has one of the first non-Twitter reports, and CNN will post the transcript shortly. Politico's Dylan Byers and Buzzfeed's Andrew Kaczynski both tweeted the highlights of the interview, which included Sununu quipping, "Be careful Wolf, because I will probably give you an extremely hot reaction." But Sununu didn't go completely conciliatory. "He's sending a message to the young people of America that if you are rich you are somehow evil," he said of Obama.
