Analysts say that rockets on display during a North Korean celebration were likely fakes, and not very good ones at that, the Associated Press reported on Thursday.
The rockets, which were shown in all different shapes and sizes, were not even the right size to fit on their launching platform, and encased in metal too thin to sustain a launch. An analyst was quoted: "There is no doubt that these missiles were mock-ups." The supposed KN-08 rockets were transported on mobile launch vehicles during a parade honoring the centennial of North Korea's founder, Kim Il Sung.
Ahead of an underground nuclear test that could come soon, and a failed rocket launch on April 13, this latest development ads more doubt in the advancement of North Korea's military.
