In his latest "oops" moment, Rick Perry forgot how to say Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's name and then referred to the "eight unelected" justices of the Supreme Court in an interview with the Des Moines Register editorial board. Perry stumbled on Sotomayor's name while answering questions before an editor prompted him with the correct pronunciation. Later, he referred to the "eight unelected and frankly unaccountable judges" while discussing school prayer. It obviously brings back memories of Perry's big debate slip up, but also of Herman Cain's moment of forgetfulness during an interview with the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel editorial board. Oh you brutal newspaper editors with your gotcha questions like "Do you agree with the President's Libya policy?" and "Who should decide whether prayer is allowed in schools?"

The interview already seemed to be going poorly, with the editors pushing him on some of the ideas espoused in his latest, much maligned campaign ad. At least this time he didn't have his brain freeze in a national televised debate; nevertheless, we fully expect him to incorporate the slip-up into some sort of campaign advertising in the near future. Think Progress has the footage for you below.
