The Plum Line's Greg Sargent flagged a noteworthy Scott Brown radio exchange this morning. In an interview with WZLX radio on Thursday, the Senator had a ready retort when he was asked about Elizabeth Warren's quip that "I kept my clothes on," while trying to pay rent in college (a reference to Brown famously posing nude for Cosmopolitan way back when) during a primary debate earlier this week. Brown's response in the interview was laughter, and then: "Thank God." The remark is at 3:28 in the clip below:
After the interviewer laughed a bit, Brown then went on to explain that he wasn't an elitist Harvard person, he came from the school of "hard knocks" and "I did whatever I had to do to pay for school." Which seems like a clichéd response. In early polling, Warren's nearly tied with Brown.
