Michele Bachmann seems to know better than to complain about her unflattering "crazy eyes" Newsweek cover. On Monday, when asked about it in Iowa, she brushed off the question by claiming she hadn't seen it and said only "Well, we'll have to take a look at that, won't we?" On Friday morning, long after "crazy eyes" became an internet meme, Today's Lester Holt tried again. And he was similarly dismissed (6:08 in video below). Bachmann said "It really didn't impact me that much" and changed the subject to the stock market plunge and Standard & Poors downgrade. "A magazine photo is not even a factor in the midst of all that," she remarked. Holt tried one last time, asking if "rage" was an appropriate word to describe her. "No, not at all. I'm a very happy person," she said pleasantly.
