The New GOP Attack Line in Illinois: Taxes

The National Republican Senatorial Committee is going up with a new ad in Illinois hitting Democrat Alexi Giannoulias not on his family's bank, but on income taxes.

The ad repeatedly uses footage of Giannoulias saying, "We need an income tax increase."

Rep. Mark Kirk, the Republican who is running against Giannoulias, has been using income taxes as an attack line in his own TV ads as well, promising that he'll "spend less, tax less, and borrow less."
