Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and GOP challenger Sharron Angle met last night in Las Vegas for their one and only debate before the November election. Based on the performances of the two candidates, even one may have been too many. Twitter's savviest political observers detailed the evening's proceedings with varying degrees of shock, impatience, and bewilderment. Their reaction pretty much says it all.
They pump oxygen into the Las Vegas casinos but clearly not the debate room.
i kind of wish some other debate were the most imp senate debate in the country...
I think it's safe to stipulate Angle & Reid among the least articulate Senate candidates to square off. approximately ever.
They need to make English the official language for this debate...
Has Angle called Reid "extreme" more times than Reid's called her "extreme"?
Good thing there are no TVs in the casinos. #nevsen
This debate is making me nostalgic for Parker/Spitzer.
Anyone know what the Ocean's 11 gang's been up to? Someone clearly stole all the charisma from the #NVSen candidates.
There's probably going to be a surge for "none of the above" in the next poll
Just off fone w/ vet GOP consultant who said of NV SEN: "If I was al qaeda I'd be looking at those two & thinking: 'this is gonna be easy.'"
Angle tells Reid to "man up. " #grandmotherknowsthehipphrases
I think "None of these candidates" is winning this debate. #nvsen
best line of the debate yet: we are going to go to closing statements now
