On Sunday, Rand Paul held a Facebook Bomb--an attempt to get a total of 100,000 fans to "like" his Facebook page (a quasi equivalent of friending, when it comes to public-figure pages), up from the 50,000 neighborhood--which I mentioned in a post here. Looks like Paul has fallen short of the goal; his Facebook "likes" presently stand at 62,368, meaning he netted around 10,000 new fans.

Then again, that's not too shabby for the Kentucky Senate race: apparently only 7,071 people "like" Democrat Jack Conway's Facebook page. And, in a debatably more significant metric, Paul leads Conway in polls by an average of 4.7 percentage points.
