Arizona's immigration law has received majority approval in nationwide polls, but most politicians aren't bragging about their support for it.
California gubernatorial candidate Steve Poizner, however, is doing just that in a new TV ad. A narrator reminds viewers that Poizner supports Arizona's law, and Republican frontrunner Meg Whitman opposes it. This, the ad suggests, is the main difference between them.
"This time our choice for governor matters, and it comes down to this. Steve Poizner supported Arizona's law to stop illegal immigration. Meg Whitman cut and ran," Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) says in the ad.
