In the wake of BP's massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, liberals are applying some pressure on President Obama to end offshore drilling. Obama announced earlier this year that new drilling would be allowed, and a pair of ads take a rather assertive tone in calling on the president to reinstate an offshore drilling ban. The liberal blog/action network Firedoglake announced today that it's raising money to air a TV ad that uses Obama's pro-drilling statements spliced with images of the Gulf disaster:




This comes on the heels of MoveOn.org's ad addressed directly to Obama, which the group began nationwide Wednesday on cable:
