How the Oil Spill Changed Opinion

At The Atlantic Wire, Max Fisher looks at how the Gulf Coast oil spill has changed what the public thinks of offshore drilling. With a CBS poll showing decreased support for drilling, a  Public Policy Polling survey showing that 9% blame environmentalist sabateurs, and another showing Floridians have turned against expanded drilling, consensus seems to be that drilling is much less popular--at least for now--than it was before BP's rig disaster caused thousands of barrels of crude to spew daily into the Gulf.
