In Search of a Moderate Republican

Last week Newt Gingrich--supposedly one the Republican party's most creative thinkers--called the Obama administration a "secular, socialist machine." The country needs a moderate and intelligent opposition to the Democrats' policies. This is not it. My new column for the Financial Times elaborates.
