The Invisible Primary, 3/3
Tracking the GOP race to 2012
Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney had their late-night duel Tuesday night, with Palin doing stand-up on Leno and Romney on Letterman; Romney's schedule of book-signing dates for the "No Apologies" tour began today; the Dallas Morning News op-ed page saw speculation that Gov. Rick Perry (R) will run for president, after he defeated Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison in the gubernatorial primary; Mike Pence (along with fellow Rep. Jeb Hensarling) proposed a constitutional amendment to cap federal spending; the Republican National Committee has set a date of August 27 for its 2012 nominating convention, which will be held in either Tampa, Salt Lake City, or Phoenix; and Mike Huckabee endorsed Mike Cox for governor in Michigan.
