Count Mike Pence as a GOP politician with a solid relationship with tea partiers: he'll be addressing an Indianapolis Tea Party rally in his home state Monday afternoon, on the south steps of the Indiana Statehouse, Pence's political operation announced Friday.

Pence, chairman of the House Republican Conference, is a conservative, and the involvement of a GOP establishment figure with the tea partiers shouldn't be overlooked. Just because Pence holds a leadership role in the House doesn't mean he and the tea partiers can't get along.
