.New Yorkers have given Harold Ford Jr. a hard time for considering a Senate run. (As has the White House.) To locals, the Tennessee-bred aspirant smells like a carpetbagger. To econobloggers, he seems like a practitioner of fuzzy math. And to watchers of Steven Colbert, he comes across, well, a bit of a flip-flopper on abortion, gay marriage, and more.
Taegan Goddard of CQ isn't the only blogger to say of Ford's appearance, "it's still unclear why he thought that was a good idea."
