Tracking the GOP race to 2012
Things got testy between Tim Pawlenty and reporters who asked whether his political travel and 2012 ambitions are hurting his ability to run the state; after previously attacked President Obama for failing to honor U.S. troops, Sarah Palin is applauding his troop increase in Afghanistan; Mike Hucbakee called criticisms of his Maurice Clemmons commutation "disgusting"; but the Arkansas coordinator of Huckabee's political group, Huck PAC, resigned today, cagily citing the Clemmons controversy as a contributing factor; and, in a speech at The Heritage Foundation, Eric Cantor presented the GOP's alternative to whatever jobs plan that President Obama and Democrats come up with after the White House jobs summit tomorrow.
