President Obama hasn't even made the announcement yet, and some 2010 candidates are lining up to oppose his expected decision to send over 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan: Hotline OnCall's Reid Wilson reports that Ohio Secretary of State/Senate candidate Jennifer Brunner (D), Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA), and Massachusetts AG Martha Coakley, who leads in the race for Sen. Ted Kennedy's seat, all oppose the putative increase. Specter's primary opponent, former Admiral and Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA), wants a "comprehensive exit strategy" to accompany the buildup.

Add to that list Rep. Jason Chaffetz, a freshman Republican from Utah's third district, who, despite his party's support for the campaign, is calling on Obama to withdraw. Expect a few more reactions, particularly from liberal Democratic primary candidates, after President Obama actually spells out what the next course of action is.
