Liberal News Network

Mike Tomasky says some of our rich donors should make one. Would it get an audience? The case for is that Olberman, Colbert, and John Stewart all have successful shows on cable that are clearly, at the moment, primarily appealing to liberals. I also know of people who watch Hardball specifically because Chris Matthews sometimes reconnects with his days working for Jimmy Carter and Tip O'Neil. So it certainly seems possible. On the other hand, disappointment about Air America will, I think, tend to deter people from wanting to invest tons of money in the idea that progressive broadcast media can find a large audience.
