Blame the Rappers!

Andy McCarthy pushes the Imus-rapper connection a step further than I'd seen before, observing that "the 'nappy-headed hos' remark" was "more a commentary on the bile found on any given hip-hop 'song' than on the Rutgers women hoopsters." Thus, you see, it's not only hypocritical to be upset that a racist is given such a prominent role in the political media universe, but, indeed, genuinely wrongheaded. Imus was offering commentary on objectionable hip-hop lyrics. And, of course, Al Sharpton is evil.
