Only six of nine Supreme Court justices will show tonight. It's assumed that Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia, and Clarence Thomas, the Court's conservative wing, will be the three who sit out.

Scalia and Thomas both have ties to the tea party movement: Scalia appeared at a House Tea Party Caucus meeting, while Thomas's wife launched a tea party group.
