Ever wonder how many people watch the State of the Union?

Here's Nielsen's report on Obama's last SOTU address, which 48 million people watched. 52.4 million watched his quasi-SOTU (the White House called it an "address to a joint session of Congress") in 2009. Bush drew 62.1 million in 2003 as the U.S. prepared to invade Iraq.

By comparison, 40.9 million watched the Jets/Steelers game on Sunday
