Since Megan's guest bloggers seem to be gathering in the town square, I thought I'd grab my pitchfork and join the rabble.

I'm Katherine Mangu-Ward. So far this month, I've written about rockets, online education, my desire to live in a Wal-Mart, condoms, and why I hated BP before it was cool. I'm a senior editor at Reason magazine, based in Washington, D.C.

You can find me on Twitter, where I'm covering important topics like novelty t-shirts bearing Milton Friedman's visage, the perfection of ketchup, and other vital issues.

I also write frequently about food, and--inspired by Courtney's introduction--I am working on a recipe for otter pie.
