A big day in Brazil: Vice President Michel Temer has officially taken over the presidency after legislators voted to impeach Dilma Rousseff, who now faces a trial over allegations she concealed the government’s troubled finances during her re-election campaign in 2014.
Temer has been accused of being involved in an illegal ethanol-buying scheme in testimony from an investigation of the largest corruption scandal in Brazil.
