Panama Papers, cont’d: José Manuel Soria, Spain’s minister of industry, energy, and tourism, resigned today amid revelations in the documents that he was linked to offshore investments in the Bahamas. He initially denied knowledge of the accounts, but had to reverse course after Spanish media also connected him to a firm in Jersey, the U.K. tax haven. Update: More here

North Korean missile test fails: The attempt early this morning in the East Sea area is presumed to have failed, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said. The Korea Herald reported the North was trying to launch an intermediate-range ballistic missile called Musudan, also known as the BM-25.
