Counterterrorism efforts: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the country should consider stripping terrorism supporters of their citizenship, the BBC reports. “These people don’t deserve to be our citizens,” Erdogan told a group of lawyers in Ankara. “We are not obliged to carry anyone engaged in the betrayal of their state and their people.” Last week, French President Francois Hollande dropped a controversial plan that would have stripped the citizenship of French nationals convicted of terrorism.
