UN approves North Korea sanctions: The Security Council unanimously imposed the toughest sanctions against Pyongyang in two decades in apparent retaliation for the North’s nuclear test and rocket launch. China, North Korea’s main ally, also voted in favor of the sanctions.

The saga of MH370 continues: Malaysia’s transport minister says there’s a “high possibility” debris found off Mozambique belongs to the plane that vanished nearly two years ago. NBC News reported the debris could be a horizontal stabilizer from a Boeing 777.
