A deal on comfort women: Japan and South Korea have reached an agreement on the Korean women who were forced to work in Japanese brothels during World War II. Under the deal, Japan has apologized and will pay about $8.3 million to a fund for victims of its wartime policies. The issue has long been a source of tensions between the two countries.
